2. What cookies and other tracking tools are

Cookies are small text files that the websites you visit send to your device, where they are stored so they can be sent back to those same sites on your next visit. Alongside cookies there are other tools that allow information to be stored on or read from a device (local storage, session storage, pixels, fingerprinting): the law treats them in the same way.

  • Technical cookies — necessary to transmit a communication or to provide a service expressly requested by the user: they make the site work. These include session cookies, those that store the chosen language, and those that record cookie preferences. They do not require the user’s consent, but must be described in this notice.
  • Analytics cookies — they measure use of the site. They are treated as technical cookies only under specific conditions (use for statistical purposes only, masked IP address, no combination with other processing, no transmission to third parties); outside those conditions they require consent.
  • Profiling cookies and other tracking tools — they are used to build a picture of the user’s habits and preferences, including for advertising purposes. They require prior, freely given and revocable consent.

3. Cookies used by this website

3.1 First-party technical cookies

Name Purpose When it is set Duration
pll_language Stores the language selected by the user (Polylang plugin) When a language is selected 1 year
wordpress_test_cookie Checks that the browser accepts cookies On first access to the administration area Session
wordpress_logged_in_[hash] Keeps the logged-in user authenticated Only for staff accessing the management panel Session
wp-settings-[id]
wp-settings-time-[id]
Stores display preferences for the panel Only for staff accessing the management panel 1 year
PHPSESSID Session identifier During browsing Session

Authentication and management-panel configuration cookies do not affect ordinary visitors to the site: they are set only for users who log in to the administration area.

3.2 Third-party technical tool: Cloudflare Turnstile

The forms on this website are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, an anti-spam verification system provided by Cloudflare, Inc. The widget loads a script from the provider’s servers and transmits the IP address and certain technical browser data, needed to distinguish legitimate submissions from automated ones.

Turnstile is not used for advertising purposes, nor to build a picture of user behaviour across other websites. It may store a temporary identifier on the device, used solely for the verification.

  • Purpose: to protect the forms against automated submissions and abuse.
  • Legal basis: a tool necessary to provide a service expressly requested by the user, exempt from consent under Art. 122(1) of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003; the controller’s legitimate interest in the security of its systems (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Transfer: Cloudflare, Inc. is established in the United States; for the regime governing transfers to third countries, please refer to the Privacy Policy.

3.3 No profiling cookies

This website does not use profiling cookies or other tracking tools for behavioural advertising, and does not share browsing data with advertising networks or social networks. Typefaces are hosted directly on the website’s own server and are not loaded from third-party servers.

Since the site uses only technical cookies and technical security tools, for which Art. 122(1) of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 does not require the user’s consent, no consent banner is displayed: this notice is provided through this page, which is reachable from every section of the site.

4. Legal basis and retention

Category Legal basis Retention
Technical cookies The controller’s legitimate interest in providing the service requested by the user (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); exemption from consent under Art. 122(1) of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 For the periods shown in the table in section 3.1
Anti-spam tool (Turnstile) Technical necessity for the requested service (Art. 122(1), Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003); legitimate interest in security (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) Temporary identifiers, limited to the duration of the verification

5. Managing cookies from your browser

You can block or delete cookies at any time by changing your browser settings. The path varies depending on the program used:

  • Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Settings → Privacy
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Disabling technical cookies may impair the operation of some parts of the site, in particular the submission of forms.

6. Rights of data subjects

To the extent that the use of cookies involves the processing of personal data, users may exercise the rights provided for by Articles 15 to 22 GDPR — access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent — by writing to info@tlpsaniservice.com.

Data subjects located in the European Union may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of their country; in Italy, with the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).

Full details on the controller, recipients, data transfers and how to exercise your rights are set out in the Privacy Policy.

7. Updates

This Cookie Policy may be updated following changes to the website, to the services used or to applicable law. The version in force is always published on this page together with the date it was last updated.
